Candle Care
How to get the most from your candle
A few gentle rituals keep every candle burning cleanly, safely, and beautifully — so the scent, and the moment, last as long as possible.
Burning Guidelines
- Let the first burn reach the edges. Allow the wax to melt fully to the sides of the vessel — about 2–3 hours — to set an even memory and prevent tunneling.
- Keep sessions to 3–4 hours. Burning longer can overheat the vessel and shorten your candle's life.
- Aim for a full, even wax pool before extinguishing, then let it cool completely before relighting.
Wick Care
- Trim the wood wick to about 3mm (1/8") before every burn.
- Remove any trimmings or debris from the wax so it burns clean.
- A trimmed wick means a steady flame, a gentle crackle, and far less soot.
Candle Safety
- Burn on a heat-safe, level surface, away from drafts, curtains, children, and pets.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Stop use when about 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
Storage & Maintenance
- Store with the lid on in a cool, dark place to protect the fragrance.
- Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent the wax and label from fading.
- Between burns, wipe away any soot and gently re-center the wick.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
